Sebek (also Sobek) is the ancient Egyptian god of strength and power, in the form of a crocodile-headed human. He was the creator of the world who arose from the “Dark Water” and created order in the universe. Sobek was also a god of the Nile who brought fertility to the land. But, as much as he was a force for creation, he was also considered an unpredictable god who sometimes allied himself with the forces of Chaos.
