Materials: 24K gold plated silver, kyanite.
The CETUS ring is inspired by an ancient Etruscan myth about Cetus, a whale-like sea monster sent by the sea god Poseidon to cause chaos in the kingdom of ancient Aethiopia. The ring features a deep sea colored kyanite gem and depicts two whales on each end. The design of the ring is based on this myth and showcases the connection between whales and wisdom.
In Greek art, ceti, which means whales, were depicted as serpentine fish. The term cetacean, which refers to whales, actually derives from cetus. Whales have long been associated with wisdom and are seen as spiritual guides. They hold ancestral wisdom that encourages us to choose the path of peace. A fun fact about whales - when you connect with the whale totem, you gain access to its intelligence, maturity, and discernment.Every Rafael Indiana product is handcrafted by artisans in Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, from wax making each piece unique.
