This carnelian gem is hand engraved with an intaglio depicting a working ancient Artisan. An artisan is a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand. A common occupation in ancient times and now a dying craft, our pieces are all made by skilled artisans with techniques that have been used for centuries.
