Amphitrite, in Greek mythology, was the goddess of the sea, and the wife of the god Poseidon. She was the ultimate mermaid and queen of all seas. Her palace was located on the island of Naxos. Some of her superhuman powers include the ability to breathe underwater, metamorphosis, and teleportation.
