He is the son of Zeus and a demi-god with superhuman strength, making him the ultimate symbol of masculine power and bravery. The cameo on this necklace is hand-carved from a bright red carnelian stone and depicts the demigod Heracles. This medallion is believed to give its owner courage and power through its energetic properties.
In mythological times, Heracles was renowned for his battles against ferocious animals and monsters, such as the Hydra snake. He is often portrayed wearing or carrying the skin of a mighty lion that he had slain. In this depiction, Heracles is shown with heroic hair resembling a lion’s mane, while adorned in royal armor.
When Heracles became a constellation in astrology, it symbolized that strength was necessary to gain entrance to Heaven.
